"Adequate questionnaire for this position"

What do you like about working at Southwest Shipyard?

"I took the purchasing position at Southwest Shipyard with good intentions. There was very little I liked about this company. I started to build a good buyer-client relationship, as I do at every job Ive had."

What don't you like about working at Southwest Shipyard?

"I was overwhelmed with work with very little assistance. Originally Southwest Shipyard was one company. It then acquired a second shipyard, Pasadena Shipyard. There was one buyer at each company. One of the buyers was released, thus one buyer assumed the purchasing duties of both shipyards. This employee was overworked and underpaid. He quit. Here is where I entered. The position was salary, no overtime. I too was overworked, but I managed. I was working 10, 11, sometimes 12 hours a day without the overtime compensation. Then Southwest Shipyard acquired a third company, Bolívar Shipyard, here too, their buyer was released. I was now doing the job requirements of three purchasing agents. I was overwhelmed with work, still no overtime compensation. I was now bringing in my daughter on weekends to help with the filings. I asked for help, or at least overtime compensation. None was given."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Treat your employees properly."
