"Good company. I don't have any other thing to mention."
"I have worked for Sotera for 3 years. While there has been some positives, the recent management seem to be unaware of worst case scenarios that have popped up this past year. This has resulted in an overall down turn in morale which has been seen through the many people leaving the company. When project transition comes, the management assured those on the projects that they will have new projects in place. Instead, attempts at transition came too little to late."
"As much as the company stated it cared about their employees no one from our work site received recognition or incentive bonuses. In our third year we were told we would not be receiving raises due to market conditions. Only problem is the company was guaranteed their money regardless of market conditions...extra profit for the company. This contract was awarded to another company and Sotera elected NOT to provide long time employees with a severance."
"Sotera Defense is a decent company to work for, their benefits package is decent and their salary rates are good. However there are some company policies that work against employees and make employees feel undervalued. The new CEO seems to be a good person and is willing to make changes when needed."
"Overall this is a great company to be employed within. They have great medical, dental, and vision as well as offer many incentives for education and certifications."
"Sotera looked good on paper - fair salary, good benefits, and supposedly good work-life balance. I didn't know how little I knew. A year later, over 2/3 of my section was gone. The experienced people had been used to train new hires (who came at a much lower cost). Then the experienced people were pushed out. Every error, no matter how small, became an excuse for a counseling or reprimand. At that rate, it was easy to build a "case" to fire people, or make it clear that they needed to resign before getting fired. So if you're new and looking to learn, and then go to a better company, use Sotera. They will use you. If you're experienced and skilled, and looking for a long-term home that will value you - run for your life."
