"Ultrasound is very geographically dependent. For example, there are positions in Texas paying upwards of $60/hour for jobs that are considered specialties, that for Ohio and North Carolina are normal aspects of being a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. It is a physically and mentally demanding job, so the pay while it is good could always be better. Overtime is the typical hourly wage, and I have not received a bonus within this company while working through part of the Covid pandemic."
