What suggestions do you have for management?

"Since Solectron is a CM and have very large customer base, I will always work to conform to customer requirements."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Locate the buyers that are there, or that have recently left, and ask them if any improvements have been implemented, then proceed cautiously, so you don't get overloaded when the duties need to be split out among the team."

What don't you like about working at Solectron?

"I was oveloaded. 5K plus SKUs, heavy NPI, the receiving team was terrible at losing inventory before it was received and the AR was outsourced overseas, so about 70% of the PO lines were incorrectly received, which made everything an AR issue that had to be resolved. Outsourcing AR did not understand that parts were coming from Asian countries and would send invoice issues as soon as inventory shipped. This took too much time going thru their emails to see what really may be an issue."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I am not sure. From what understand from previous coworkers, management has been overhauled."

What don't you like about working at Solectron?

"I did not like the fact that we had to be under the control of the manufacturing side. Which we did not get any benefits of being in a real engineering environment."

"To understand what your employees do and the commitment they apply. To be fair and understanding."

"The customer base and how demanding and selfish customers are and much is taken for granted."
