"I've worked at SolarWinds for a decade. I've found it to be a successful company, but opportunities tend to come and go quite frequently."
"People are great but the expectations needed to fulfill your job are somewhat unattainable. No customer focus vision. Constantly barrage customers to buy today. No finesse to qualify the product."
"Great Place to work! a little too much pressure on the ISRs to sell on a fast pace, but overall a great place to work."
"I love working for my current employer."
"Great company and great software. One of the worst managers I have ever worked for or with. The manager of the collections/accounts receivable department in Austin is so out dated, it brings me back to the year 1992, micro management to the highest level. I would recommend a different department."
"I have worked for SolarWinds for over 3 years. SolarWinds is a publicly-traded company that offers many different IT infrastructure management software solutions and employees around 1,500 employees. The company offers over 40 distinct and complex products that help IT professionals better monitor and manage their IT environments. The company continues to acquire other software companies to add to its ever-growing catalog of on-prem, managed and SaaS-based offers."
"The Fish rots from the Head! Pros: Some of the smartest people work in the Boulder office, the first floor rules! Cons: During the time I worked for Solarwinds, I was ridiculed, degraded, bullied and manipulated by the Corporate Services Department in the Austin office; HR and my manager was very much aware and DID NOTHING! I was not the only person whom was treated with such disdain; the CEO was also very much aware and did nothing! (My manager actually told me to let the bullying continue, if I didn’t I may not have a job.) The executive staff thrives, values and applauds this kind of behavior; it absolutely comes from the top! Extreme blatant favoritism and severe hypocritical attitudes are monumental issues within the company. Unethical, wrongful and actionable behavior is prevalent and creates a hostile work environment; this absolutely comes from the top! Advice to Management: “Train people well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they don't want to.”"
"There is a culture of distrust at SolarWinds. I worked at SolarWinds for more than a year. Pros - Covered parking, nice view, handy stairs. Cons - Industrial Revolution management style, seriously abusive micro-managers, deceitful with bonuses, revolving door. Real old school beat down. Six vice presidents, four directors, and four managers recently left the company."
"The company has high rotation, and don't see anything wrong about it. The Marion focus is Sales and everything else is just cost. If you are a developer focused on technology this is not the place to be."
