2.4I was really excited to get the job. I was looking forward to develop a great relationship with the workplace environment and teammates. I would always give my best to get the job done on time, even if it meant working extra hours for no extra pay. But the management style was horrible and undesirable. The manager would make unreasonable demands like calling me unprofessional in front of the entire team for not attending a meeting I haven't received any notification to. The junior positions get blamed for the manager's mistakes. They don't provide proper training and would expect the new employee to know everything about the company's database and applications without providing proper exposure. Not allowed to answer any important calls during work hours, which is completely cruel. Suppressed of freedom of speech. You'll be expected to have no opinion or views of your own. Poor dispute resolution skills in management. Chances are you could get laid off for nonsense reasons that do not make any sense. Although, I looked forward to giving the best I can and putting great effort in learning more from the company, the whole experience seemed pretty awful. It's a very hostile work environment.
1.8Seems like SolarCity inside sales is the lowest-paying in the industry. Crazy how they are getting away with the low amount of money they pay their employees. Example, if a system generates $50k in revenue and takes 3 months to install, you would be compensated roughly $500 for it. 3 months of work for that??!!? The rest of the industry is paying a lot more. Turnover is unreal. Every single month so many people are quitting once they realize that everything they were told are smoke and mirrors. On top of all of this there is no support from management at all. Managers are in meetings all day long so it's survival of the fittest. If you don't end up converting your leads at a high percentage every 3 days then you will fall to the bottom of the queue and not receive any more calls. I was actually one of the top producers that left to work for Sunrun and it is night-and-day different. Also spoke with Vivint and they are much better aligned for pay and the support to succeed as well. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID AND WORK FOR SOLARCITY. YOU WILL REGRET IT.
1.5Keep your promises, talk to your employees! give periodic reviews or any type of feedback on any of what is expected. do review on the people you have running your wearhouses that do not have any idea on what is going on.
