Director of eCommerce

"I worked for Smith Micro Software for 13 years. During my employment, I received many promotions from Senior Web Developer to Director of eCommerce. It was a great company to work for with many wonderful and talented employees. Sadly, poor income and revenue generation resulted in the company needing to make a hard business decision and reduce the number of staff members."

"I worked for Smith Micro from October 2002 to May 2014 with a 6 month break in 2007-08. It was a great run. I was able to work with smart, creative people on some very interesting projects. The one downside was the profitability of the company fluctuated greatly. The last 2 years the company lost money and there were three rounds of layoffs."

"The company is in a downturn at the moment and people are jumping ship. Smith Micro has just reduced the corporate staff by one third, but interestingly enough did not let go of any management. They let go of small salary team members that made a difference. it is my sincere hope that the management team can turn this ship around and get us into calmer waters. There is great potential for Smith Micro to be successful considering the 30 years of industry longevity."
