"I started working for this company as a junior tech in 2015 and was let go 2 months into my position. I applied for this job through a Craigslist add for a tech position I wasn't qualified for but since it was an entry level position I thought I would apply. During the interview I was promised that I would have a career working for sls and that I would get a full training seminar that would last a full month and that at the end of training I would be able to take apart the equipment and put it back together, diagnosis, etc. So hearing that this company had so much promise I took the job and got really excited because it's a family owned business that was expanding its business to other parts of the United States and sls had expanded to Los Angeles CA, where I was being stationed at. When I started my job the owner of sls had started scouting a location for the San Francisco area and was in planning of opening a shop in northern CA. My manager at the time was the one who was being transferred to the SF up north and was being promoted. He was supposed to be my trainer and I was supposed to receive my full training in Phoenix when they hired another junior tech so 2 of us could receive training together. I spent 2 weeks with the lead tech just doing ride alongs with no form of training. His excuse was that we didn't have time to train due to the amount of business that was flowing through. At the time I didn't think anything of it because I knew I was going to be trained in Arizona. When I was sent to training I spent 4 days in AZ and was thrown out into the world with a good luck. Found out company was cutting corners with the dot regulations, have non cdl drivers, myself and 2 coworkers driving commercial trucks. The tech we had was out of date and management support was terrible, we even have tools in the shop. I was laid off because the training I had didn't prepare me enough to help customers and fix units and training customers on how to use the equipment."
