"My direct supervisor was phenomenal; very supportive, encouraging, and understanding (if not a little powerless to actually do anything). Our department was given a fair amount of freedom to accomplish our work. However, the management team is very "old-school" and "small company minded", often defaulting to showing favoritism and being unreceptive to actual change/improvement. Trust is not a word I would use with the management team, I felt like I always needed to be careful of falling out of grace. A lot of the benefits I enjoyed (tools and process improvements etc.) were hard-won by past employees who were fired or quit after feeling "burned out"."
