"SilverTech treats its employees extremely poorly. Lack of appreciation for skills and experience, and jealous “kill or be killed” attitudes run rampant in every department of their beautifully restored Ash Street Schoolhouse. Massive miscommunication between senior leadership and middle managers, who then mis-communicate to production staff. It's only gotten worse with the explosive growth of new and additional middle managers over the last year - a good majority have never managed people before and it shows. Consistent lack of planning for projects and resources. Timelines are a mess. Clients fall off the map and then come back and blame SilverTech. SilverTech promises the world to keep the client even though it means incredibly shortened timelines, rushed work and sub-par quality as a result. Nobody has figured out how to schedule a project in a way that makes sense or uses time efficiently. I never knew with any degree of certainty what I was supposed to work on the next day. In my last year, more often than not I'd prepare to work on a project only to have it rescheduled or dead that day. Of course, when 8 projects finally came in or were all behind schedule, that's when "the rally call" came out and we were expected to do whatever it took to get it all done. This would be ok during a busy season, but that's not the case here. Employees feel stressed and burned out as a result. Management (especially middle managers) lack even basic training for overseeing and managing their teams (teams which are too big for them to really be managing directly anyway). Leadership training is also not offered or even talked about at SilverTech - it’s assumed you will figure out how to manage your team and get the results senior leadership is requesting. SilverTech will tell you employee turnover is all a part of being a growing company, but driving out long-term employees is a bad strategy."

"I have worked for Silvertech for 3 months. My work was project based development, as soon as I finished my development then they let me go. Environment was so calm and pleasant, Everyone helping each other if others need help in their team. They also have upgraded version in visual studio. So I learned also with new development."

What do you like about working at SilverTech?

"Colleagues were great; unfortunately, they all either left or were fired."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Ask them up front how they reward performance in terms of financial compensation. Also ask them about room for growth and have them commit to something on paper before you take the job."

What don't you like about working at SilverTech?

"Company management way out of touch with employees. People come and go like this place has a revolving door. Projects are constantly rushed and everyone is expected to work crazy hours to keep up the pace--making the CEO (Nick Soggu) lots of money while the rest of the employees typically went without raises/bonuses. Don't let the talk of iPads/Flip Cams fool you. That's the only bonus you'll likely get--and that was even spread out over a 2 or 3 year period. Miserable when deadlines approach."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Replace the friends of the president with actual managers that have leadership skills."
