Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Know what you're getting into. You are required to work long hours, the bonus plan is less than your hourly rate and for the Staff accountants, there is no overtime, even though you do not have the professional designation of CPA. This is not a good fit for someone who does not want to be a slave to the job."
What don't you like about working at The Shafer Group?
"They care little for their employees to the extent that they won't buy tissue because it is to expensive."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Be positive. If you take care of your people in the trenches, then they will be more than happy to do the work."
