What do you like about working at SGI Construction Management?
"I liked the corporate culture which emphasizes in nourishing education and professional growth."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I recommend that during the interview the prospect employee should be upfront to quest his/her team member (if any) and his/her management style and behavior. Yet again, I believe all project team members should collaborate and form a healthy work environment for professional and personal growth; to share visions with receptiveness to enhance the projects outcome."
What don't you like about working at SGI Construction Management?
"During my practice with SGI, I did not have the opportunity to work with a team member who I may consider as a professional practitioner/manager. I worked only with one individual at the project site-El Cerrito High School. The referenced individual appears as a manager (title) with no management and professional manor or principal. He was insulting towards everybody including his own boss, SGI and school faculties, with an extremely imbalanced thinking pattern and temper w/profanities (in educational environment!), which created hardship for the owner (principal and school staff). From my point of view, such unprofessional behavior damaged the image of the team and SGI as well as progress throughout the entire project. Correspondingly, SGI should review the employee's behavior particularly if such behavior is unhealthy for the environment and public."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"SGI should consider employing qualified managers/practitioners who could enhance the image of the company by means of professionalism, implementing ethics, conveying sensitivity and care to the owner's need and being courteous to the entire team. I believe that practitioners with such characteristic would generate the best project outcome, and contribute values to the company."
