What do you like about working at Calfrac Well Services?
"I thought that the company was up and coming with the ability to compete in an emerging market. I tried to assist it but it is not ready for that responsibility."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Go to CalFrac if you feel that the pay is worth while. My suggestion is to avoid the place altogether. The management and marketing strategy coupled with sub par equipment and poor training may cause you a severe head ache. Companies with proven service equipment training and achievements should be first line choices for one looking to progress in Oilfield services."
What don't you like about working at Calfrac Well Services?
"I thought that the company was up and coming with the ability to compete in an emerging market. However, the training and management personnel they have are not ready for that challenge."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Change the good old boy culture. Work at training. Make safety a priority company wide. Get qualified managers, not operators acting in department head management capacity."

"It gave me the opportunity to return to Cleveland and be with my family every day of the week."

"There was no training, my supervisor had no people skills and there was a serious lack of information that needed to be passed down."

"They need to put people through some classes on people skills."

"Flexible work schedule and multiple opportunities for advancement either locally or worldwide"
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Education is the key to advancement. You must be able to handle mulitple facets of financial reporting to higher ups and be able to forcast financial goals in a volatile market."
What don't you like about working at SimplexGrinnell?
"Multiple layers of management, each with their own agendas and department financial goals, lack of cooperation between departments. Because of the layers, each with a bonus tied to the title, pricing for sales is higher versus the competition. We still deliver the very best product and service, but if all except top managers were salaried, we could deliver at a better selling price."
