"The pay is based on the cost of living in a small town in WI, so they do not care where in America you live.The HR department is worthless to the employees. They are only looking out for the top management. This means that the employees have no place to turn if you are having problems with your manager."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Arrogance does not equal professionalism. It would benefit them to send their management to a training class on how to be a manager. My last manager got his job because his wife was a VP. That is right, there is a little to much relative watching out for relative at the home office."

"Work independently, yet have a strong support network behind you."

"If you make it to where they will fly you out to their home office, you are home free. That is, unless you make a complete ass of yourself while in Stevens Point (ie getting drunk, etc.)"

"As an insurance company, they tend to make every decision by the book without room for negotiations."

"Leave the successful salespeople alone and give them the flexibility to do it their way. Focus on struggling reps instead."
