"Solving problems is always enjoyable in any line of work and this position allows you to do that on a daily basis. The downside is - as you move along in your career - eventually all the applications you're developing start to show a lot of similarities and it can feel old hat. Fortunately the tech is always changing... so that keeps things fresh. It's a good mental challenge if you have athletic pursuits outside of work you can have an excellent life balance with a computer focused job like this one!"

"Do your best to learn different departments and their political importance. It's important to make friends across the University."
What don't you like about working at Northwestern University?
"Career development is slow. As with any higher-ed people park therefore mid-level technical staff or management is typically the end of the road unless luck sees a sr. staff member retire."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Provide a clearer path to career advancement. Provide incentives for completing continuing education. Merit increases should be based on merit rather than even dispersal of what is in the pool."

"Able to work with the latest technologies, to manage projects, work on things I enjoy, go for training, and work with good people."

"You need to have a good attitude and able to get along with people. It is an informal environment and people are easy going. As far as skill-set is concerned, make sure you know your stuff."
What don't you like about working at EZFacility?
"Unable to help make as big of an impact with the company and our customers. Sometimes we focus more on creating features for a single customer that creates more complexity for the majority of our customers. Sometimes we take a band-aid approach instead of rewriting the code properly."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"To truly get an understanding of the experiences of their developers and not keep us out of development meetings because they believe for the most part all we bring to the table is our ability to code."

"Not stable, top manager team change idea too fast, business not make money."

"Be careful to keep the budget when spend money on marketing. Many projects are waste money and time."
