"prestigious client list, high profile projects, Backbase Portal Server is a unique product for which there is a growing demand."

What don't you like about working at Backbase?

"I was not made aware of the reputation for Bully Culture that is prevalent throughout 75% of the Management team, until after I joined. Upon joining HR informed me of this and told me that due to this and their reputation it makes it hard to find new employees. However, I am still happy there and I do believe it is possible for this to improve."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"They have grown from a small start up, and have promoted people to high level management positions who may have excellent technical skills, but their management skills are appalling. These people should not be in positions to manage people if they are not willing to work on their management skills."

"Nothing, it was an awesome place to work and I really enjoyed working with the people, and building and launching services and products that impacted and improved the daily lives of millions of people using the products and services."

"Value what each of your employees can offer and allow them to grow and shine. Don't get caught up in the politics."

"Few people stay long. Do not rely on it for a long term opportunity. It is a very disporganized place and very much a start-up. Management intends to maintain offshore model for content and development as much as possible and to cut costs as much as possible."

What don't you like about working at Nayamode?

"Day and night shifts both required to work locally with clients and offshore contact is constantly needed. Offshore resources not experienced or trained."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Quality makes a difference. And local talent may be more expensive than India, but is more capable."
