What do you like about working at Sprint?
"The workstations ran under HPUX or AIX. Gaining experience with routers and the internet in general. Their system monitoring graphic tools were pretty impressive."
What don't you like about working at Sprint?
"I strongly disliked working third shift. I wasn't allowed nor was the opportunity available to do any development work - I was a system analyst, not a software developer. I was frequently waking up UNIX professionals when I could have solved the issues myself (and once they learned my experience, many of them gave me password access to do so, to solve simple UNIX-related issues)."
What do you like about working at AOL?
"It was an opportunity to lead a team of younger and new developers teaching the complexity of analysis design, and development."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"This is a good company to work for. It will give you a good understanding of the internet and advertising on the internet."
What don't you like about working at AOL?
"Headquarter was in Washington DC and it was hard to contact people when you needed them right away."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"A winning team is a diverse team in education and background. A mix of arts business and sciences works best in a development team."

"I work with the security settings of the network - firewall, BigIP, routers and switches"

"Like any job a person has there are ups and downs over the course of their work life about the company or person(s) they work with."

"It was a good technical environment, and gave me the path into the PC technical environment."

"I enjoyed the challenges of supporting 400+ end users, and always tried my best to outperform and further my education."

"None. The management team kept employees well informed and involved with open door policies."
