Being a senior person, you get to choose the kind of method/approach you wish to adopt for the job at hand.At times I hate the feeling of extra responsibility. Seniority comes with this package. At times I feel the extra pressure acts as hindrance in line of innovation."

"Friendly working environment. Working on new technologies. Flexible working time."

"Pay attention to details. Prepare well before having any interview."
What don't you like about working at Alcatel-Lucent?
"Big company, some departments are not doing well, losing money."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Keep on investing on products which have good revenue and profit."

What do you like about working at Compaq?
"Tandem the company I started with was so great every change over the years was simply degradation. Tandem was work hard play hard and we did both."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Only consider working for the high profit divisions on the lastest technology, the rest will only waste your career away. Leave the second your division sees trouble, they'll have no loyalty for you, you should have no loyalty for them. Demand $$$$ everytime they NEED you and cash out quickly. My biggest mistake was feeling loyal for the great things it had been in the past."
What don't you like about working at Compaq?
"Between CEO and board scandals, piled on more CEO and board scandals, management degraded to bad ideas and scandals top to bottom in the company at least at my division. I stuck around to vest stock options but I should have left before it got as bad as it did instead."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Start over from the Board thru Hurd and on down. Hurd was ousted last week but I'm afraid the curse will not leave with just the CEO"

"Just stay away."

"Almost zero chance for growth, pay raises, or bonuses."

"Because I have a job."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Don't. Not until the economy improves to the point where they have to start treating employees better or lose them to competitors."
What don't you like about working at Hewlett-Packard?
"Lack of job security. Outsourcing, poor and getting poorer benefits. No raise for 8 years. 5% salary cut, loss discount on purchase of company stock. The "HP Way" is dead."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Start to value employees."

"It has been bought out a few times, and the environment is declining as the jobs are being offshored."

"Good experienced people, lots of challenging work"

"Please don't, as they do not value faithful employees."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Stop looking at us as a bottom line, unless you can put some quality numbers in there too. Let us go toe to toe with our India replacements for a while to get some real numbers for efficiency and customer satisfaction."
