"No continuing opportunities - too much down time after a project - lack of continuity."

"Form a work plant structure to offer cadre of professional consultants the opportunity to have a clear offering of adjoining positions when contracts close for current assignments."

"Don't hire individuals who are relatives, which impacts business. Just do fair interviews and don't take money from vendors for hiring people."

"Management should stop doing politics and keep only individuals who can work, and not hire individuals who are their relatives, which impacts business."

"As above reflects, contract work seldom exploits the opportunity for training or enrichment."
What do you like about working at Merrick Systems?
"Really...nothing. There was too much politics within the company especailly with the VP and one of the Managers. There was really nothing to make any one stay around."

"They will tell you nice things about the company during the interview process, but they really never live up to what they say. You can never disagree with the VP of operations. if you do, then they will throw you out the door"

"The Place stinks with hatred. All they care about is how they can use people"

What do you like about working at IBM?
"Cutting edge projects, chance to work on projects that will have real impact on people's lives by insuring that border systems functioned effectively."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be prepared, research position, project if possible and take that extra second to think your answer through before speaking. they could very well bring in a suprise knowlegable person to evaluate your answers or quiz you in specific areas related to your position."
What don't you like about working at IBM?
"Not enough accountability it seemed at times for quality of applications. At times seemed more about the bonus deadlines than the quality of the product. Quantity vs quality that didn't agree at times with my old school values."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Provide a little more accountability for the end product, even if it maybe means risking losing a little bonus as some of these systems are the cornerstone of applications that peoples lives could depend on. It will come back in spades of goodwill later."

"The employer is Aetna Insurance NOT Aetna Bearing Company."
