"I recently accepted a position at Honeywell Aerospace as Sr. Plant Engineer at their Green Island facility. The position is critical since it maintains the older machinery (600 ton presses, large Blanchard Grinders and sintering ovens) for creating brake pads for commercial and military aircraft. I had a staff of 12 millrights, electricians, machine repair techs, welders and Jr. Engineers working for me to maintain the machinery and facility. I had plenty of opportunities to solve problems and resolve issues which I enjoy doing. The job was great and very important. Honeywell is a great corporation to work for. Unfortunately, Covid-19 took its toll and forced the closure of the plant."
