"I love being a DBA simply because data is what I enjoy messing with. Analytics is my bread and butter. I also love it becomes it's semi-niche. DBAs are hard to find, so we tend to have added value tacked on simply because of our rarity.What do I hate about it Most of the DBA roles are in California, and Cali is expensive to live in. $90k/yr in Cali isn't worth anywhere near as much as it is in Arizona or... well, almost any other state."
