"A degree does NOT mean a person is fit to supervise others."

"The work was a learning experience and very rewarding. Most of the co-workers are very professional."

"Listen to your coworkers and work hard."

What don't you like about working at Pratt & Whitney?

"They never have time for you to complete a job correctly, but always have time to go back and redo it the way it should have been done the first time. The next time the same job comes up you only have half the time to do it cause management has added another person's job to yours, because they laid off someone else."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"If someone is happy with the work they are performing, don't look for ways to make them unhappy with the work and conditions of the working environment."

"Not much."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't."

What don't you like about working at Xcel Energy?

"Not much. Incompetent middle managers that do not really know what there direct reports are doing. Same middle managers do not listen to more senior personnel with extensive experience. General feeling in the company that middle managers are willing to step on whomever necessary to get ahead."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Implement procedure similar to the military of having line worker with direct access to upper level managers. This way the people making decisions can make more informed and intelligent decisions than are currently being made."
