"emphasize sales, that is all they care about, not about quality work"
What don't you like about working at Altarum Institute?
"Everything is a secret: Hires/Fire/Terms/Promotions. Employee grade levels are top secret. You have no ideaon how to get promoted. You would think this place was alaw firm on its emphasis on billable hours, even if you donot do any work you still must bill clients/projects. Favorisim runs rampant."

"be honest, share some of the wealth, you are way overpaid, stop the corruption"

"there were some very talented and dedicated people who got thing done"

"The culture was changing. There were lots of lay-offs and not much growth potential."

"They should spend more time focusing on the things that are working and less time listening to people who don't know what is going on."

"The work was interesting and challenging. There was always opportuitiy to learn something new."

"Read Bloomberg by Bloomberg. The corporate culture is very unique and can be difficult to adjust to. Hard work is appreciated. Confidence is a must."

"At times, it felt like Big Brother watched your every move."

"Continue to develop a strong attitude of community and team work. Group goals are easier to obtain than a series of individual ones."

"If you're applying for an editorial position, it's helpful to have skills with creating and editing images. Also, don't expect to use any cutting-edge technologies found on more modern sites, such as video or interactive polls."

"There's no clear vision as to what we are trying to accomplish, nor is there a clear plan as to how to achieve that goal. It feels like we're flying by the seat of our pants - and we don't have enough resources to be a compelling online resource for the topics we cover."

"I would engage with employees regularly to solicit their ideas, both in group settings as well as on a one-on-one basis. I would provide direction as needed, along with regular constructive feedback on their job performance. I would make an effort to understand their short-term, mid-term, and long-term goals, then work with them to achieve those goals with guidance, training, and mentoring."
