"Sealed Air is a good company for young engineers to start with. You will learn a lot about extrusion and any of the numerous film and bag making processes."
"Sealed Air is a good company with great first-line management; However, the executive management appears scared to lead and make decisions. They also lack the discipline to commit to a project management process, which causes a lot of needless anxiety and wasted engineering hours."
"Best of class products and innovation in the industry. No single competitor comes close."
"Exciting and fast paced company. Its people are the power of this company. Some of the best people I have worked with."
"Work 12 hours shifts. No guarantee breaks. Lucky to get 2 breaks. No COLA pay raise. Actually make less now than I did 3 years ago, due to lack of descent raise and increased cost of healthcare cost. No opportunity for upwards career movement."
"I have worked for Sealed Air since October 2017. As a Voice Engineer, I have worked with sites in North America, Europe, Latin American, and Asia Pacific. We have a strong Network team of around 8 engineers. Half assist with the network/data side and the other are voice engineers who help with implementing/executing/go-live support. Our largest office consisted of over 600 devices and our smallest has been 10. By using Cisco UC, CUC, and UCCE technologies, we are able to complete each project with little to no business impact."
"Been working there for one year. Everything has been great."
What do you like about working at Sealed Air?
"I was a part of multiple projects which were moving forward throughout my time as in intern. There was always something to work on that contributed to a meaningful goal."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Make sure that a full time position is available. The internships are great, but in this economy they don't lead anywhere."
What don't you like about working at Sealed Air?
"The projects I was working on were underfunded, so I didn't have access to all the tools I would have liked and wasn't allowed to put in the hours that I think the projects deserved. I occasionally would work off the clock to meet my self imposed deadlines and despite all the extra effort I put forth, I feel my work was somewhat unappreciated in the end."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would have hired me despite the hiring freeze. Also, while I admired my managers collaborative approach to machine design, I would have taken it a step further and pulled a few field engineers in during the early stages of a new product design"
"Sealed Air is focused and provides employees with opportunities."
"I enjoy working for that company."
