Unfortunately the team was not able to beat out the rest of the competition around the world. However, we were able to get a lot of support and funding for the research."

"Independence, freedom to do things my own way on my own time, provided it was done in a timely manner."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"There are not many student teaching positions open at any given semester due to budget cuts. Make sure you really want to do it if you apply. Be prepared to write a passionate letter of intent with solid evidence as to why you'd make a good instructor."

What don't you like about working at San Diego State University?

"The pay was way too low for the amount of work and care I put into my job."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I'm not sure. Student teachers are very disconnected from the executive branch of SDSU."

While I believe this institution has tremendous potential, my experience has been that it is an exploitative environment that really does not pay attention to the temporary/adjunct individuals."
