"I have been employed by SDG&E for 4 years. My most recent assignment has landed me in a position with no progression path -- a fact that was not brought to my attention until recently. Since beginning my role as an engineering analyst, I have consistently operated at a level far beyond my job description, but with no reward for doing so. In addition, I am currently compensated 10k less than I agreed to when accepting the position. Be extremely wary of this company!"

"I have worked for both small and large companies. At SDGE I was a small cog in a large wheel. My biggest gripe was that in every review I was rated excellent but there was NEVER any constructive criticism, and the raises I got were all the average increase for the company. My thinking was if I really was being rated excellent then I should get an above average raise. If I'm not excellent then tell me what I need to do to improve and give me an average or below average raise. It did NOTHING to motivate me to try harder."

"SDG&E is a good company overall, but is facing a difficult regulatory environment and uncertainty in the California electric industry (as are its competitors, Southern California Edison and Pacific Gas & Electric). This uncertainty has crept into the organization and has resulted in a great deal of stress for the rank and file of employees."
