"Working at ScribeAmerica is an excellent way to gain experience in the medical field. However, there are limited opportunities for growth and the compensation is poor."

"I've worked for ScribeAmerica for about 1 year now and I have had a great experience with the company and my fellow coworkers. Although the job can be stressful, it is very rewarding and is a great learning opportunity for those interested in healthcare. I have a great relationship with my coworkers and my scribe manager. They are always very helpful with any questions or problems I have. The doctors that I typically work with in the ED understand our usefulness and most appreciate the work you do! One of the downsides is the pay, as ScribeAmerica pays local minimum wage and overtime is typically not allowed. It can definitely be a little tough when you work 40 hours a week mostly on your feet for 4 10-hour shifts and get paid <$15/hour. Another downside is you sometimes have to work with arrogant or condescending doctors, but that could happen with any facility that you work with, so definitely not really an issue."

"I've worked for ScribeAmerica for about 10 months now. In my time here, I have been given a great opportunity to get a good grasp for what it is like to work in the health care field, as well as being given an opportunity to learn about different fields of medicine. Overall, I appreciate the experience that working here has provided me."

"I was absorbed into the company via its merger with PhysAssist Scribes, and worked directly for them for about a year. I found the company to be very rough with its employees, often overworking and underpaying the staff in a broad manner. The feeling that the company prioritizes profits over the value of their employees permeates the entire workforce, which is a real shame. Morale is overall very low, with higher-ups seemingly unaware or purposefully ignorant in how to fix it. Would not recommend working for the company if possible."

"I worked at Scribe America for a year and a half. I found the people to be great to work with. Though the job was challenging at times, it was also rewarding."

"The hospital on-boarding process was a little slow, but its different with each hospital. Scribe America is extremely accommodating to anyone who is still in school or have other commitments. They really try to work with you schedule. The initial tests are relatively easy. If you don't pass it, the job is going to be difficult anyways. There is a learning curve and some people don't make it past bedside training and its pretty fair. If health care is a field you want to be in, scribing is really a great job to get you started. You get to see all the sides that work to make a healthcare environment work well."

"I worked for ScribeAmerica for just under two years where I was able to work under multiple specialties and providers. While the clinical exposure is a life-changing professional opportunity the training program is inadequate and the reimbursement is low. When factoring in travel expense (some clinic locations change from AM to PM) you will hardly be able to net any profit. Use this position to learn and make connections. Do not expect steady income."
