"I worked for Scientific Drilling for eight years and saw the company evolve from a chaotic but successful company to one that had implemented the standards and function. Unfortunately the company was decimated by the downturn in the industry with half the workforce laid off in 2015. It improved in 2018 that saw the company clawing back. Sadly there remained a top heavy structure with too many executives who seem to like to disagree with their peers and then spreading that toxic environment downwards. More lay-offs came as a result of the poor management for example investing 20+ millions in an SAP ERP system that does not fit a company this size. Investing in new technology when there is no demand for customers and finally purchasing a small tech company that has returned a tiny fraction of ROI.I mention all this as the owners are now trying to sell so instead of making some tough decisions regarding the above, the management team once again have been laying off to try and make a profit. Sad really. Great people at the company however."
