"First I work out of sister depot, which means we are off in our own little world compared to most workers. Our manager got fired and we have worked without one for months now, nothing gets fixed or changed. I started 9 months ago, the route I am on is on a 8 year high. They want me to be a manager but the company makes managers travel and do other routes, they don't actually manage they just are fill ins. The means there is no way to grow in the company. My route has 4 days and around 800 miles of driving a week, which really handicaps any chance of me getting to the highest commission rate. We have 4 people in our depot, 2 of us make a good profit for the company. The other 2 are bleeding money every day and nothing is done about it. Your bonuses are tied to your depot, we basically have 2 people fighting to get bonuses for all of us. The company cares heavily on weird stats like how many upsells you get which is basically useless, they don't seem to care much about sales per day in comparison. Its a draining place at times. The upper management literally have never done a actually day of a driver and it shows, they do nothing and lecture on about useless knowledge that won't help. If your selling good, its actually fun, but when you don't its demoralizing."

"Overall, good company to work for. The products are very good and the service of the Route Drivers is second to none."

"Horrible company. Hours are excessively long. Expectations are unrealistic. Advertised wages are less than actual wages. Equipment and trucks break down frequently, then they will try to make you work extra hours to cover the lost business from the equipment failure. Quality of the product is decreasing. The routing program they use has you running your route in circles. Management has no loyalty to its employees."

"This company is one of the worst to work for. They act like their employees are paid a fair amount of money for the amount of hours worked. They say on their actual website not to tip the drivers. The little delivery fee you pay, doesn't go to the drivers by the way. A normal day for a Schwan's representative starts at about 9am and ends anywhere from 9-11pm and that does not include overtime being that you get paid $160 per day, you don't get paid hourly. so if you are out on the road for 12 hours its the same as being out on the road 10 hours. (They do not allow you to run anything shorter than 9 hour day) commission is bad at about 3%. they ask way too much of their employees and keep adding on extra stuff. maybe they should think about raising how much they pay their drivers instead of how much the corporate people are getting sitting in their, climate controlled office for a max of 8 hours a day. they also didnt use to have cameras in the trucks but they just informed us they are now being added and no matter what they say the cameras are always recording the DRIVER (due to being "Activated" by sound and certain types of movement, the schwan trucks are loud meaning this will always be recording) this means you cannot eat, drink, smoke, or vape in the truck because each of those things is now illegal with the laws in place. also for the entire 12 hour day only one 30 minute DOT break is allowed. meaning you can only drink water one time with these new cameras."

"This is one of the worst companies I've worked for... many of the workers would rather be nasty to you than try to like you or get to know you. This is the 3rd year no raise! They claim I exceed expectations. Perfect attendance... I can't move up within the company! There is a lot of favoritism! The company management seems to lie very well to your face! We have tons of orders, but need more dependable workers! People seen to call off too much... I see more and more unethical workers. Too many get away with goofing off."
