What do you like about working at Saturn Corporation?

"Saturn has a customer friendly image. The Saturn philosophy brings in a different kind of clientele. The benefits package is better than most dealerships and the staff works quite well together under most circumstances."

What don't you like about working at Saturn Corporation?

"The part owner and president (as well as the general manager) is very old school in how he runs the sales end of the business. He pits all 3 of his stores against one another and it is unproductive from a sales aspect. While Saturn's philosophy is no haggle, no hassle... Management there adds extras to the cars and turns it into a negotiation type auto purchase in spite of the image Saturn cultivates. The general idea there is that you need to be there if the doors are open (9 am to 9pm Mon. thru Sat.) everyday and have no measurable personal life while upper management is able to have quite extensive personal lives. Ultimately it's still car sales with all the game playing that customers expect and have come to hate."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Learn from the failures of all the different car companies. Quit playing games and treat the customers with the respect they get at high end stores. BMW and Lexus don't have to stay open late every night to make a living. While you're marginally better to work for than other dealerships, the old school approach is one of the reasons that the car industry is in trouble! Pay Attention!"
