"Sandvik is a good company and has great potential in the rare Earth mining domain. The management is very open with the staff and engages in the engineering groups regularly. My immediate supervisor, VP of R&D is very supportive and engaged. The main challenge is working with the main office in Finland. The engineering group has bee working on a new process to facilitate better and more fluid communications."

"The people that work here are great, there's no career path or room for development. The offices are clean and they are very flexible with your time. A lot of changes came up every 1 - 2 years."

"Executive team is all foreign and are dictators. Management by fear. Everyone goes to work afraid of losing their job. Extreme favoritism to European friends and young women. Older employees are undervalued and not given credit for any work they do with the hope that they will quit. If you are white American, over 35, then you will be treated like a third-class citizen. Morale is poor except for the 20-something staff taking selfies all day and fooling around."

"Wait until the major shakeup and reorganization is complete before joining. Until that time, it is a hellhole of a workplace with no respect for employees"

"Lack of clear direction from top management. Sandvik never paid well but now, with the new CEO, there is no job security, no sense of what business entities will remain with Sandvik and what will be sold off. Very poor communication coming from top management and very slow changes."
