"I've worked for Salt Lake Community College for the last year at a less-trafficked campus and it has been exactly what I needed to get through school. I was able to get to know the people I served and contributed to the education of the student body by supporting faculty and staff. The people are very worth knowing and learning from."

"I've been here for several months now, and it is... an experience. The college is very traditional, with a fairly aged administration; which means many of the policies and procedures don't accurately reflect the needs of the students they serve. That said, the International Services seems to be lagging behind the college in many ways. I would only recommend this for someone who can take constant criticism, meet conflicting demands for time, and has no ego."

"As an Electrical Engineering Lab Technician, my responsibilities include adjusting and repairing equipment, maintaining computers in the Lab, and creating and teaching new lab courses for students. Additionally, I work independently creating websites, supporting software, doing statistical analyses and applying robotics for a number of different clients. As an independent contractor, I have had the opportunity to work individually and as part of a team effort, working with both for profit and non-profit organizations."

Program Director

"I have worked for great bosses and great leaders while at SLCC. You can tell a great boss because he/she encourages you to do your very best work and they provide you with the encouragement to accomplish great things. I have also worked with weak bosses who tell you one thing today and then flip/flop on you the following week. They can never make a decision because they have no idea where they are trying to go. They expect you to solve the unknown problems and they blame you if you fail."
