What do you like about working at Safiyah Institute?
"Working with the Safiyah Institute was a wonderful opportunity to gain international work experience in curriculum development and training. It was also an opportunity to further develop my leadership and team building skills and for those reasons, I really enjoyed my work there. I also enjoyed having the opportunity to do work that had a positive impact on our global community."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Successful candidates at the Safiyah Institute should be experience and knowledgeable professionals in their field with a minimum of a Bachelors degree. Successful candidates should be willing to travel heavily and should express a high level of international knowledge, cultural tolerance and awareness complimented by a willingness to work hard for low pay."
What don't you like about working at Safiyah Institute?
"Like many non-profits, the Safiyah Institute struggled with limited resources in the face of large-scale need. The result was that compensation for staff was poor in the face of high professional expectations and demands. These challenges were my least favorite part about working at the Safiyah Institute."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Safiyah Institute management should spend a higher volume of time on fundraising in order to secure the funds needed to adequately compensate staff."
