"It was the worst experience of my career. I was hired on a 3 month probational period because I was the first female store manager they ever had, and they felt it was a big job and a female may not be able to handle it. They used these words over and over and would constantly ask my staff how I was doing, and what I was doing wrong. The show room has an old time designer who had a very negative personality who slammed the management daily. She shared an office with the office manager who thrived on gossip, and the regional manager would promote it. The top management was indecisive in their direction and spoke down to people. I know for a fact male designers were offered higher pay when I was there. It is a very sad place to work, and if it is important to love what you do, this is not the place to work."
