"Inasmuch as it is a great brand, Russell Stover is a fun company to work for, and there is plenty of chocolate to sample. However, it has long struggled with a lack of strategic vision, especially in the supply chain area. We are a seasonal business, but cannot flex our production capacity; our forecast accuracy does not support our material lead times; our SKU count is too high and we have too many customer-specific items so that we cannot even use make to stock strategy. These situations make for seemingly intractable problems every day, and work is stressful as a result."
