"This review is for the S2 location. You work a lot. I had 4 days off per month, which doesn’t translate into much of a life. The work is fast paced and highly stressful. People yell at you, people are incredibly rude to each other. The plant manager thrives on intimidation and everyone is scared of him. The maintenance manager thrives of intimidation also and he will constantly threaten your job, you never know if you are safe with job security. The maintenance manager is scared of the plant manager and he will throw you under the bus, there’s a lot of finger pointing. There is an inner circle of favored employees and management and if you are not in that inner circle you will be talked down to and demeaned. Management likes to threaten people’s jobs frequently, you never know if you’ll suddenly be let go. Maintenance is not in the union so they can get rid of you at any given time and I’ve seen it happen to lots of good mechanics. Employees are walked out of the building often. It’s an incredibly childish, egotistic atmosphere where tattling is encouraged and praised by management. Someone else had mentioned the 401k match being awful and they are correct. It’s $18 per week. Basically you’ll never retire. The company has policies that are supposed to be adhered to but the S2 facility is like the Wild West. They make their own rules. They will preach to you about food safety but I’ve personally witnessed management and even the plant manager himself barehand touch finished, unpackaged Kellogg’s waffles on the line. They preach to you about personal safety but I’ve seen the plant manager standing behind guarding and ordering operators to turn the machine on. They preach safety but they don’t mean what they say and management sets an extremely poor example. The HR department is a joke and if you go to them with a problem or concern they will most likely turn it around on you. So if you have a concern about something it’s best to just keep it to yourself."
