"This place should be a case study of how to ruin a business by hiring terrible management who then go out and glom onto every lousy deal they can turn up. It is truly amazing how stupid and clueless people with advanced MBA degrees can be. They were able to drag this dying beast through an accrediation, which is required in order to bill insurance, and now all of the employees are waiting for another layoff. I do not expect this company to be in business a year from now."

"Mismanagement at all levels, incompetence, lying, treating employees as if they are completely disposable, too much paperwork driven madness, and a pressure cooker environment that could eventually explode in violence."

"Sell the thing to someone who might actually be able to run it like a business rather than a hang out for the good ole boys and various hangers-on."

"Occasionally you actually feel like you helped someone. But very damned infrequently."

"Dont...unless you are homeless and starving. Even then dont do it!!! This place sucks and it aint gonna change!"

"A complete lack of any original ideas or leadership. The new president is a complete waste who is only commited to making sure the managers get to keep riding the gravy train while the company dies a slow painful death."

"Quit operating this company like its a non-profit or a welfare organization. Quit screwing the employees every time its convenient."

"You do occasionaly feel like you did actually help someone."

"Don't. You will only be told lies about the job and the company and be misled as to what will be expected from you. Talk to a current employee before you ever go in for an interview."

What don't you like about working at Roberts Home Medical?

"This company is a complete nightmare that is rapidly heading for bankruptcy. Although a new president was hired in April there has been absolutely no change in the absentee landlord management style that the previous president excelled at. There are too many people just riding the gravy train and doing very little while management just messes about, trying to decide what to do. There is no focus to core business and lengthy meetings are held to decide trival matters. It even seems like the doctors and hospitals are totally disgusted with us. Any time a problem comes up it is immediately blamed on the employees. There is zero morale and if the jobs picture was better there would be a mass exodus out of Roberts."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Focus on core business, quit with the 90's management buzzword B.S., restore some dignity to working here, make sure employees have some actual time off, and quit blaming the employees for the bad decisions that management made."
