"Small company, nice people, good opportunities if you like the consulting environment"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"It's a good company with really nice, caring people. If you are the right fit then go for it. However, their pay rates are much lower than industry average in my opinion and for the benefit of the company and the enviroment you will take a hit on salary. I took nearly a $20k hit to get in the door for a promise of a long relationship using my skills only to get laid off 6 months later because they couldn't use my skills. Go figure."

What don't you like about working at RGS Associates?

"Too body shop focused. Not really a consulting firm; but more of filling seats with workers to do government work at FTE equivalents. Typical like Bearing Point and others. Very niche focused on delivering IT services at the time I was there."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Allow employees to work internally and help grow the company internally while they are in between assignments rather than laying them off. Provide them the opportunity to use that down time for skills training/cross pollination of skills within company. Create multI faceted employees you can reuse rather than hiring specific skills every time a contract comes in."
