While in the training phase, software engineers only make the state minimum wage. But those software engineers who move on to client work are granted a significant increase in pay. My salary was low because I was furloughed and eventually let go due to Covid-19 following the training phase and before moving on to a Client. My low salary had nothing to do with skill or mistreatment by the company. It was a result of circumstance."
