"Reserve Marine Terminal SUCKS!"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"RUN!!! Run far and run fast!"

What don't you like about working at Reserve Marine Terminal?

"Management! The scrap yard manager's curse at you on a daily basis. They never run the water truck when the place is a huge dust-bowl. They don't give you the proper air-mask even AFTER OSHA came out! They give excuses as to why we never get a bonus from loading or unloading a vessel. The roads in and around the yard are HORRIBLE, be prepared for multiple flat tires and having to make repairs to your vehicles suspension. They always blame the operators when equipment breaks down or has anything wrong with it. They don't maintain their equipment, they are in to much of a hurry to produce rather that fix a problem the correct way. They will suspend you without pay if you break equipment, even if it's not your fault (i.e. normal wear and tear or misuse of equipment). They tell you to do something in a piece of equipment when in fact that piece of equipment isn't meant for that particular job and when something goes wrong with the equipment, you are to blame! They do not provide proper training, they just expect you to know everything! The DO NOT care about you or the union in which you belong. They have paid off the union BA in the past and therefore got away with treating employees like garbage and even though we switched union locals, they still treat us like garbage. If you want to use your vacation, they will give you a hard time about it (i.e. they say that someone else has already taken that day for vacation so you can't.....even if nobody has scheduled a day off). I could go on and on with this list but.... Bottom line, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE EMPLOYEES ONLY THEMSELVES (Management)!!!!"

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Take some Management Courses at a local college along with an Ethics Class. Get some class....stop cursing at employees! Pay us what we are worth NOT half the scale of other unions!"
