"I hear things have gotten better since I left in 2004."
What don't you like about working at Lockheed Martin?
"Backstabbing between managers on the director level was rampant. Too many fear tactics used, especially on low level managers."

"Promote a little more trust and stop infighting between management. Remove all fear."

"Be extremely selective in your advisor, as a poor choice can ruin the entire experience for you, as it did for me."

"Balancing changing demands and the inability to control my own research."

"Try to be more consistent in the direction you provide. Do not direct an employee to read and research the feasibility of an alternative and then criticize that they found it was not viable and did not directly experiment with it."

"There is a high expectation of the employees, but it is a casual environment because of strong trust in people capabilities."

"Work hard, be personable, and learn everything you can about the engineering environment."

"There isn't much room for mid to high level growth. Manager is the only higher position, but those jobs are long term and filled."

"Although we get a lot of vacation time, I would much rather work more and get a 401k match."

"very little money due to researching position, bad traffic area, very bad parking rate..."

"it's cool, nothing need to be changed. I really don't know what else to say about it."

"Everything was great. The people were very professional and polite. We got projects completed as a team. We eat together as a group and worked on leading edge technology."

"Be positive and research the company before the interview so you can answer the questions as well as you can."

"I was on contract and I wanted this position to continue."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I have no suggestions for management. However there was a lot of e learning on the computer. This took a lot of time to complete. Some of these learning tasks did not involve my position, but I was required to learn these procedures anyway. My suggestion is to have a method to select the most important procedures for a given position to limit excessive time on the computer."

"Never ending paperwork, limiting statuesque, careless administrative personnel, very easy tasks assigned to scientists."
