"I worked for the Republican-American for several years, it was a good work environment. Once the market started having problems, in the words of the executive editor when the market is bad, one of the first things people get rid of is the newspaper. And with that statement began the rounds of layoffs. Although I was a much needed asset I lasted several rounds until they realized that I would voice my opinions if something wasn't done correctly. And I voiced my opinion and was let go."
