Relativity Employee

"I have worked at Relativity for almost 2 years in the customer support department. There is a great learning experience to be had if you are just starting out and are interested in learning SQL. Once the honeymoon phase is over, the pain points start to reveal itself. It is hard to advance up and you start to see that a lot of employees in the department are stagnant. Backfill is almost non-existent as it take 6 weeks for an employee to take a mandatory exam before even being able to start work. If they fail, they will get terminated and will have to wait for another candidate to pass the exam. Once they do pass the exam, they have to go through internal training which takes about another month. All in all, the process can take at minimum 3 months before a new employee gets on boarded and ready to work. This is a problem especially with the high turnover in this department. They also preach transparency and are working towards that but not before many complaints from the employees. They are currently going through structural changes to the department and I am honestly not sure what the future holds within the department."

"Pros: The majority of the people you get to work with are top notch. I’ve never had a company value training as much as Relativity. Tons of opportunities to get involved: help to recruit, social events like happy hours, parties, and chili cook off, a community giving program, and sports leagues. Cons: The company is currently struggling to define its culture, is it DevOps or dedicated operational teams? With its certification and security requirements its difficult for engineers to access data for troubleshooting. Low average salaries, while benefits are average."
