"REI Systems is a great company with lots of support from upper level management when you need It. However the benefits seem slightly below average compared to what I’ve experienced with my other employers. None the less, I would recommend REI Systems."

"Current employee. I have been supporting REI since August 2013. First job out of college and has been a great place to not only hone but grow my skills as a developer. Management is approachable and there are opportunities for growth within the company. I have supported Java-based projects during my tenure as an SE."

"It's too much of a customer centric organization such that every wish of the customer is catered to.Moreover, employees are overworked with low ball estimates that cause stress. In HRSA dept, employees build applications on top of an unstable platform, but are expected to deliver quality and timely code.I don't think much would have changed since late 2012."

"Developers are incredibly disconnected from the development process and are treated as interchangeable resources, added and removed from projects constantly, and forced to pull long hours to make up for managers over-selling to the client."

"I did not like it here. The management, the procedure of managing developers, enormous number of BAs and testers, less developers, high work pressure , no work ethics absolutely - did not like it."

"Researching the company before joining, it seemed overall to be a great place to work. Don't be fooled by the flattering comments/reviews online. Let's start with the project manager. She has not much experience as a project manager but is willing to put other people down despite the knowledge they bring from other government companies. She calls 4 to 5 hours of useless meetings every day, yet expects you to complete the tasks assigned to you in the sprint designated time (acting like she knows it all; some common sense is missing on how to treat people). Some Product Owners are lazy and willing to push work to other team members without realizing what they get paid for and it is unfair to other team members that they get paid for the task and they want the other team members to do it (not trying to be racist here, just stating the facts). Although the CEO is a super nice guy, not all of the employees are. A person who has worked here for 5 to 10 years cannot be compared to someone who has worked here for a few months. I cannot understand how this company expects one person to work on multiple projects and attend meetings for hours. It makes no sense to put someone who does not know anything about the project in charge of it for 3 months. People need time to learn how business logic and business processes work. Though they have worked here for years, they do not know how to use the system properly, but when you do the work, the PM and PO will re-engineer it according to their likings without knowing where I previously worked or where my actual experience came from. They say nice words and things during the meeting because every team member is there, but behind the meeting and behind the screen, they will say humiliating things. My project manager and product owner made me feel very uncomfortable in less than 3 months. They will say its okay, it will take time to learn in the meeting, but behind the screen, she will say when will it be finished, PM wants"
