Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be sure that you get bonus information in writing and put a clause in it so they can not take it away or change the parameters mid stream of your employment. They will change the bonus structure to their advantage if you are coming close to achieving the goals and not tell you they have done so."
What don't you like about working at Autocar LLC?
"The senior management in the service and warranty department. Wanted the field managers to be mechanics and not managers"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Provide customers with solutions rather than second guessing them with their problems. Let the field managers manage their territories, instead of micro managing the managers from the corporate office."

"They are one of the best companies I have ever worked with, and if the economy was not what it is, I would still be employed."

"I liked everything."
What don't you like about working at General Motors?
"I dislike being laid off."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Never in the history of this country has a company become successful or returned to success by laying off their employees. Without your loyal employees, you have no customers. Your customer base is only as good as your employee base. If there are no employees left to service your customers, your customers will go elsewhere."

"None. They are not hiring. They have reduced staff by more than 50% in the last few years."
What don't you like about working at Siemens?
"The job was a 24/7 job for a very demanding client. THere was only one customer TSA."

"UIC was sold to a private investor and began downsizing to reduce cost structure, but the people they are letting go, are the ones they need to maintain and grow the business"

"During my first 25 years with the company it was a family oriented business and allowed for personal growth. The retirement plan was a form of profit sharing that involved each employee an incentive to grow the company."

"Watch out for yourself."

"Over the past five years the day to day worry of downsizing and the actions of the new owners to focus on reducing benefits to increase revenue and the reduction of employee involvement and recognition of the contributions of a loyal staff."

"Quit, and let someone else who knows what they are doing, run the place properly!"

"I enjoy a reasonable amount of travel. The people in the CO are all great. The customer base is fun to work for and the retailers trust us to the point where we have total control of ordering."
