"sales management has to much power - quest loses alot of good technical talent because of this"

"Somewhat limited upward mobility. Technology area was not of extreme interest to me but it was a great learning experience."

"Quest offered an interesting perspective on virtualization and it's marketplace. I enjoyed interfacing with customers and trying to solve enterprise level issues related to our product."

"Be prepared as each site of Quest can be significantly different from the next. Do research on who they were before they were acquired."

What don't you like about working at Quest Software?

"Quest had a disconnected atmosphere. It is made up primarily of companies Quest acquired through the years from different geographical regions. I worked at a small satellite office in Santa Clara which felt disconnected from Quest corporate."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Quest needs to reach out to branch/remote offices more often and get more then the 'director/manager' level in tune with the culture."

"The office was very fancy and up to date. The people have been treating me very well there. I like the fact they try to include almost everyone in a meeting to make everyone feel important."

"If you work hard and love what you doing and like the diverse working environment, this is the one for you."

"I liked interacting directly with the CEO and some of the other executives, also the high caliber of candidates, working in this environment was a rush"

"this is a great company, especially if you can handle interaction and accountability to very bright people"

What don't you like about working at Quest Software?

"the lack of ATS which should have been and indication of the priorities of management, also the biases in candidate selection which required a lot of educating on my part, which I didn't really have time for"

"People are good at what they do. Currently going through some changes with regards to managment and how much work they offshore."

"Would have stayed, but one of the product lines I was working with was sold to Opentext and myself too."
