The company is focused on a specific niche - this prevents them from getting bogged down in trying to absorb every new technology that comes down the pike. It also allows developers to be able to get a depth of knowledge of their work that wouldn't be available at other companies. The drawbacks are the amount of travel required and the 24/7/365 always-on mentality. A good work-life balance isn't available.
