"I interned with Quake Capital Partners in their Austin location while completing my MBA at the University of Texas. The company provides seed stage investment in a "smart money" way by only funding companies that are accepted into the 12 week accelerator. As an intern, I was able to work directly with the portfolio companies and leverage my marketing background to help the companies. In that regard, it was a positive experience as the company leadership allowed me to have ownership and work directly with the accelerator companies. The only challenge was that this was the first cohort of companies in Austin and there was a lot of office politics and finger pointing when things did not run smoothly."
