"I've been with Protege the better part of 13 years and during that time the company has been the best place I've ever worked and amongst the worst. Years ago we were thriving and growing and the opportunities seemed endless. About six years ago however, we hit a very rough patch where the economy sputtered while we were being acquired. In the end the acquisition fell through and it crippled the company. We had to lay off almost half the company and have been shrinking ever since."
