"None, they are doing what they need to do in order to survive and be profitable."

"Excellent. I was a contractor at Medtronic. Company politics can prove to be a hindrance."
What do you like about working at Medtronic?
"Rich environment in terms of various software systems. Variety of work. Exposure to many different departments and opportunity to network with many employees with different backgrounds."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Know what you are getting into and ensure expectations are set and defined precisely. Otherwise the project will suffer."
What don't you like about working at Medtronic?
"Politics and rat races. Despite this I was able to deliver the project as promised. The project manager has to overcome and be an agent of change."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Ask all department heads to cooperate with the project manager, so that the project is delivered on time, on budget and to their satisfaction."

"Diverse people and lots of competent professionals both in technology and in the business. Contractors are empowered and treated well."

"Bring your best skills and target positions with your area of strength. Suggest temp to perm for most IT roles below director."

"A bit bombastic when budgets get tweaked, some variation in process assets between departments and some underdeveloped systems."

"management (deployment staff) were not very intune with the real world. Poor communication and most of the levels I worked with. Moved people without a project to (suspended) so they didn't have to pay people between projects and couldn't collect unemployment. Sometimes for months."

"wipe the slate clean and start over from scratch."
